You may have seen in earlier blog posts and in our work page that we’ve delivered squllions (we’ve actually lost count) of illustrations for Australia Jägermeister’s social media campaign “Creatures Of The Night”.
The Creatures of the Night, Jäger’s fun-loving, anthropomorphic brand ambassadors, were introduced in 2014 to help appeal to groups of Aussie mates. Using illustrated “Tag A Mate” images and plenty of irreverent banter, Jäger’s Facebook page has grown a cult online following.
So, job done? Not quite. Jäger’s new challenge was to help their dedicated fans on Facebook learn that there’s more to Jägermeister than banter and Red Bull; it’s actually made using an 80-year-old secret recipe, using 56 different pure, natural botanicals.
To help spread the good word, Jäger surprised their online superfans with personalised Jäger tasting kits, complete with instructions from the Creatures. We were asked to create new illustrations for custom singlets for each crew, illustrated in the style of the Creatures of the Night. With a few ingredient samples and some conversation-starting merch, Jäger converted their biggest online fans into real world advocates.
